GhostToken GCP flaw let attackers backdoor Google accounts
Researchers at Astrix Security discovered a security vulnerability that they dubbed, “GhostToken,” that could impact Google account users. The vulnerability hides apps from the Google app management page, and the token can be used to gain access to victim’s data. When Astrix Security was ready to announce these findings, Beyond Trending put together a PR campaign to press, scoring over 20 earned media articles in the top security trade publications reaching over 25 million readers including this BleepingComputer article!
Attackers Hide RedLine Stealer Behind ChatGPT, Google Bard Facebook Ads
With ChatGPT taking the world by storm, attackers are finding ways to jump on the bandwagon and trick users into downloading info-stealing malware like RedLine Stealer. Researchers at Veriti have been following this closely and have already seen ads on Facebook and community pages that encourage users to download the malware-infected “ChatGPT.”
