Reporters We’re Keeping Our Eye on in 2024

We’re always keeping our pulse on reporters across various industries we represent for clients, but at the start of the year, and each quarter, we’ll spotlight a few that we love following – whether that’s because of the content they write or the way they write about it! We also want you to be able to stay ahead of the latest news, and the great writers behind the scoops!

Below are just a few reporters I’ve identified who are sharing amazing company stories, and people we would love to work with this year.

Madeline Renbarger – Newcomer

Madeline started at Business Insider covering startups and VCs and has recently taken on a reporter role with Eric Newcomer’s brand – and is the first of his reporters, not to mention!

We’ve been keeping our eye on Newcomer as he continues to grow his brand and share insights on the VC industry and business side of startups. We look forward to what Newcomer and Madeline have to report on in the year ahead!

Dana Cassell – Built In

Dana represents several of Built In’s chapters (such as Built In Chicago and Built In Boston), meaning she’s got a line of sight into innovation across the country and not just a specific market.  What recently caught our attention in her content was this article about what it truly means to be a mission-driven business.

In this article, Dana shares eight companies such as Square and Trupanion, who are striving to remain a mission-driven business for their audience and employees! We applaud her for featuring their stories and we’ll watch for what else she shares this year.

Jim Dallke – American Inno

Jim is the Editor of American Inno and we’ve been following his newsletter for a while now. He does an excellent job of providing high-level data for startup trends and the funding landscape.

He does roundups that feature female founders to watch and provides great insights! Not to mention, with his insight into all of the Business Journal’s markets, his articles spotlight national stories as well as ones focused on specific cities.

Samantha Stokes – Business Insider

Samantha covers startups and VCs at Business Insider, focusing on health tech and mental health tech, a great interest of ours!

She’s done features on many up-and-coming health startups such as Heali, a food medicine startup. As well as spotlights on investors, such as Alice Zheng who’s focused on advancing women’s health.

Stay tuned to see what other reporters we will be watching this year!
