As founder and solo GP of an early-stage investment firm solely focused in edtech and future of work, Atin Batra is truly one-of-a-kind. Amidst a busy landscape of VC investors, the opportunity came with capitalizing on this unique intersection: early-stage companies and niche industries. To that end, leveraging 27V’s portfolio companies served as the perfect example of Atin’s ability to spot unique solutions to the industry’s most overlooked challenges.

Our strategy to help 27V get on the radar of other investors, as well as founders, was two-fold. Focusing on Atin’s immense knowledge within edtech and future of work, while also capitalizing on investment trends. As the market slowed, we spoke out about why it was the perfect time to be bullish, to help Atin establish his voice and build credibility. We pursued bylines, Q&A pieces and speaking opportunities. We also integrated testimonials from his portfolio companies and told their stories to serve as proof points to 27V’s hands-on investment approach.

Results

We established a relationship with Inside.com, who invited Atin to host an “Ask Me Anything” session and speak at their annual “Meet Our Fund” conference, which attracted more than 13,000 investors and founders. In just six short months, we secured 23 articles with more than 60M impressions. 

Beyond Trending was instrumental in broadening my personal voice, as well as 27V’s. Liza and her team were thoughtful and strategic about aligning my goals with their deliverables. As a client, I didn’t feel like they were just “checking the box,” they truly took the time to get to know 27V and myself, and what we stand for. And because of that, I was able to share my perspective on the investment landscape in publications like Forbes and EdSurge, getting in front of other investors as well as potential portfolio companies.
